Free Exercise Classes in DC

Washington DC is an incredibly active city, it feels like every time I leave the house I see someone running, doing yoga in the park, or cross-fitting. But what if you are just here visiting and don’t have the time or money to go to the gym? Or you are looking for group activities that allow you to meet new people? Don’t worry I’ve got you!

Sundays:

Start you Sunday Funday off with a #doingthings run at Outdoor Voices in Georgetown. The run starts at 10 am, finishing just in time to go to brunch… which is also like an Olympic Sport in DC.

Mondays:

Get your sweat on Monday mornings at 06:30 with the November Project starting at Meridian Hill. These workouts focus on hill runs and body weight workouts… getting you up and ready for your week.

Tuesdays:

Let’s go across the river to Arlington for a ladies only fun run with Potomac River Running Store. The fun run starts at 6:30 and covers anywhere between 3-5 miles. All levels of running are welcome!

Wednesdays:

Still feel the need for more miles? Join the Hill Runners gang from Summit to Soul at 6:30 pm as you make a 3 mile loop around Capitol Hill and back again. Events are held weekly in the store, so there is always fun to be had! Guys and Gals welcome to this run club!

Thursdays:

Fire up your core with some free pilates through TriFit at Farragut Square every Thursday starting at 5:30 pm

Fridays:

Alright, you started the week with the November Project, let’s end with it too. Starting at 6:30 am, get to know the DC area with circuit training, focusing more on body weight workouts than running. It will send you into your weekend with your endorphins pumping.

Saturdays:

Find some OM and head to the Kennedy Art’s Center for an hour of free yoga every Saturday starting at 10 am! Vinyasa flows that are offered to all levels with experienced teachers.
